Usage 
Used for managing multiple sites. The same 
configuration file can be transferred to different 
units if the programming is consistent between 
devices. 
Dependencies 
Must use the correct file type (i.e. runtime.cfg) 
Initialize (Init) Modem

Description 
This will initialize the internal modem. 
Usage 
Should be executed if experiencing modem 
problems. 
Dependencies none 
Login Via IP 
Path Gateway 
(Remote) ->Utilities->System 
Gateway (Remote) ->Utilities->System 
Description 
Allows the administrator to log in to another unit 
via the IP address. 
Usage 
Used for remote configuration of the Switch or 
Remote Module. 
Dependencies 
Valid IP address must be configured and Telnet 
must be enabled. 
Optimize 
Path 
Gateway (Remote) ->Utilities->File 
Gateway (Remote) ->Utilities->Upgrade 
Description 
This will “clean up” the internal flash file system 
for improved performance.  
Usage 
Should be executed prior to performing a 
software upgrade or for advanced trouble 
shooting. 
WARNING:
 Do not execute on an active system. 
This may cause the flash file system to become 
corrupt rendering the Switch Module or Remote 
Module inoperable.

Priority (Log) 
Path 
Gateway (Remote) ->Configuration->Log 
Description 
Allows for the selection of what log types will be 
displayed first in the log file. 
Usage 
Used during trouble shooting. The log message 
priority can be customized for the level of 
troubleshooting desired. 
Log message priorities include: 
Fatal:        Unit is not functioning 
Error:        Failure 
Warning:   Problem with unit but still operational 
Info:          Remote session, someone connected 
Debug:     Detailed message 
Trace:      Packet type tracing 
For example, if the log priority is set to Info, then
