System 

Selects the TV signal input source: TV 
(antenna) or Cable. 

X to select Cable. 
W to select TV. 
ENTER to activate your selection. 

Selects the correct bandwidth and channel 
designation. (See Appendix B Channel 
Bandwidth and Designation” for details.) 

X or W to select and ENTER to 
activate your selection. 

Channel Edit 

Auto Scan: scans all available channels. 
Add: restores the TV channel previously 
deleted. 
Delete: deletes the current TV channel so 
that the channel is skipped when you press 
the CH+/S or CH

−/T button. To access the 

deleted channel, you can manually enter the 
channel number. 

X or W to select and ENTER to 
activate your selection. 

Turns on and off Closed Captioning. 

X to select ON. 
W to select OFF. 
Enter to activate your selection. 

When you select ON, another menu appears 
where you can select among the Closed 
Caption modes: CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4, 
TEXT1, TEXT2, TEXT3, and TEXT4. 

T or S to select and Enter to 
activate your selection. 
MENU to go back to the previous 
menu. 

Selects the viewing style of the Closed 
Caption text: Shadow or Box. 

X to select Shadow. 
W to select Box. 
ENTER to activate your selection. 

Auto: automatically detects the type of 
video input signal. 
CVBS: composite video connection. 
S: S-Video connection. 

X or W to select and ENTER to 
activate your selection. 

 

6.5 PIP 

Menu 

Press the 

 button to open the OSD main menu. Press the X button three times to select the 

PIP icon, then press 

 to open the PIP Menu. 

 

The PIP Menu allows you to use twin-picture mode, i.e., simultaneously displaying of two 
pictures from two different input sources on the same screen.
