To send an alert by email when sensors are triggered:
1. Click  Enable Email to activate email function.

Some suggestions when using Intelligent Guard:
1.  Before setting up a monitoring rectangle, we recommend experimenting with different settings. NOTE: Make
sure that the alarm trips when something abnormal happens, but also make sure that the settings are such
that false alarms will be minimized.
2.  If the contrast in the video image is too low, the desired result may not be obtained. Try adjusting the video
brightness and contrast to improve video detection results.
3.  To enhance the detection capabilities of Intelligent Guard it is best to place valuable objects in areas with
solid-color background. This will make an intruder more noticeable and therefore easier to detect.
Intelligent Passing Object Counter (IPOC)
IPOC works in live mode, to count objects moving within a camera’s range. Here are the main features:
1.  For each camera a maximum of 3 IPOCs can be set.
2.  IPOC is directional: this means that it will only count people moving in one direction, and will ignore objects
moving in the opposite direction.
3.  All Intelligent Guard parameters are applied to the IPOC.
4.  When you click the save to start counting, make sure the background is unchanging.
Parameters:
1.  Activity Scope: Once this parameter has been set the object’s movement should not exceed the value
calculated between 2 consecutive frames. Otherwise it will not be counted.
2.  Activity Weight: this parameter defines how big the object needs to be in order to be counted; if the object is
below this value, it won’t be counted.
Suggestions:
1.  As with Intelligent Guard, it is better to use IPOC in an environment with stable brightness (controlled lighting).
2.  IPOC size should be such as to accommodate the normal moving speed of an object when it is in the
detection range for more than 10 frames.
3. Setting
the
Activity Scope to a suitable value in terms of the moving object’s speed is very important for
precise object counting.
