3.19. Intelli-Guard™
3.19.1. Overview
Intelli-Guard™ is an exclusive intelligent feature offered by ELMO USA CORP. The Intelli-Guard™ feature detects motion
and counts passing objects within a defined area of the camera’s view and can respond by audio alarm, emergency e-
mail or a phone call. Intelli-Guard™ requires precise settings in order to work effectively.

Intelli-Guard™ detects change in an image by analyzing its pixels. The same principle is used by the Motion Detection
feature. However, Intelli-Guard™ can yield a more precise response than Motion Detection, as it can be adjusted to dif-
ferent kinds of motion. For instance, an object’s size and direction of movement can be used to determine the triggering
