You can add several types of personal email accounts, such as POP3 and IMAP accounts, on your 
phone.

 1.  Touch 

 > 

 > Email.

 2.  Do one of the following: 

 

l 

If this is your first time to add an email account in Email, type your email address and 
password, and then touch Next to let your device check the incoming and outgoing server 
settings.

 

l 

If you have already added an email account in Email, in your email Inbox, touch    >  Account 
settings  >  ADD ACCOUNT. Type your email address and password, and then touch Next 
to let your device check the incoming and outgoing server settings.

Important: If the account type you want to set up is not in the phone database, you will be asked to 
enter more details. You should get all pertinent information for the email account, such as incoming 
and outgoing server settings, before you proceed.

 3.  Set the email checking frequency, download options, account name and the name displayed on 

outgoing messages. Touch Next until the Inbox is displayed.

If you synchronize your phone with your Exchange ActiveSync account, you can read, manage, and 
send email in the same easy way as with a POP3/IMAP account. However, you can also access 
some powerful Exchange features. 

 1.  Touch 

 > 

 > Email.

 2.  If another email account is already set up, touch    >  Account settings  >  ADD ACCOUNT.

 3.  Enter your Email address and Password information and then touch Manual setup.

Contact your Exchange Server administrator for required sign-in information.

 4.  Touch Exchange.

 5.  Enter a Domain\Username, Password, and Server information.

 6.  Read the onscreen activation disclaimer and, if prompted, touch Next.

Note: If the server requires remote control over some of your phone’s security features, touch OK to 
allow it.
