Preparing Recording Media
Inserting and Removing an SD Card
1 Turn off the camcorder (

2 Open the SD card slot cover.
3 Insert the SD card straight, with the label facing the grip belt, all
the way into the SD card slot until it clicks (

• Observe the following precautions while the SD card access indicator is
flashing. Failure to do so may result in permanent data loss.

Initializing the Recording Media
The first time you use any recording media with this camcorder, initialize it
first. You can also initialize a recording media to permanently delete all the
data it contains.
