• In "block" mode:

 

This time corresponds to the glue drying time before the book is output. 

It is advisable to make this time as long as possible.

The value can range from 6 seconds to 26 seconds in steps of 2 seconds.

Default value: 16 seconds.

This button makes it possible to modify the glue drying time during cover nipping.  

Two operating modes are possible, depending on whether or not the "AUTO" function is active.

When the "AUTO" function is active, the drying time during nipping is automatically 

adjusted according to the book to be bound.
When the "AUTO" function is inactive, the operator can change the drying time 

during cover nipping manually.
The time can range from 0.8 seconds to 8 seconds in "with cover" mode only.

This button toggles the vibration of the jogger plate and enables you to modify the amplitude of 

the vibration. The vibration of the jogger plate straightens the sheets in the paper bundle into a 

properly squared-off block.

Pressing 

 or 

 activates or deactivates the vibration of the jogger plate.

Using the bar graph, 

 the operator can modify the amplitude of the 

vibration.

This button activates or deactivates the milling of the pages to be bound and enables the 

milling depth to be set.
The milling operation gives better adherence of the glue to the paper and therefore a stronger 

hold for the pages.

Pressing 

 or 

 toggles the rotation of the milling blade.

The milling depth can vary from 0 to 3 mm - 1/8" (default value = 1 mm - 3/64").
• If the operator does not activate the rotation of the milling blade:

->  No notching and no milling. 

 

In this case, the machine automatically withdraws the notching tools so that 

they are out of the way of the paper.

•  If the operator activates the rotation of the milling blade with a milling depth of zero:

-> Notching without milling.
