- Carriage: Check the condition of the jaws, remove any trace of glue.

- Glue tank: Check the glue level before switching on the machine.

- Cover clamp:  Check the condition of the clamps and the black non-stick plate: remove 

any trace of glue.

- Output unit:  Check that the baffle plates and guides are clean. Remove any trace of glue.

- External waste collector : Shake the filter (cloth bag).

- General cleaning of the machine.

- Milling: Make sure there is no waste paper in the milling unit and the pipes.

- Glue tank:  Check whether the glue is oxidising (turning brown in the case of National 

Coolbind 1300), and replace if necessary.

-  Waste paper bin:  See whether the bag is full 

(see chapter 

).

- Clean the grid of the glue fumes extractor.

- Cover loading: Check the condition of the suction cups.
