To avod spllage n or around the machne, do not eat or drnk near t.
Keep the machne clean. Dust accumulaton can prevent the machne from operatng 
properly.
Turn off the man power swtch and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and 
contact Canon Customer Care Center n any of the followng cases:
When the power cord or plug s damaged or frayed.
If lqud or small object has fallen nto the machne.
If the machne has been exposed to ran or water.
If the machne does not operate normally when you have followed the nstructons 
n ths gude. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the nstructons n ths 
gude. Improper adjustment of other controls may result n damage and may requre 
extensve work by a qualfed techncan to restore the product to normal operaton.
If the machne has been dropped.
If the machne exhbts a dstnct change n performance, ndcatng a need for 
servcng.
Telephone Equipment
When usng telephone equpment, basc safety precautons should always be followed to reduce the rsk of fre, 
electrc shock, and njury to persons, ncludng the followng:
1.  Do not use ths machne near water (.e., near a bathtub, ktchen snk, or laundry tub), or n a wet basement or 
near a swmmng pool.
2.  Avod usng the telephone durng an electrcal storm, as there may be a remote rsk of electrc shock from 
lghtnng.
3.  Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak n the vcnty of the leak.
Location
Place the machne on a flat, stable, vbraton-free surface that s strong enough to 
support ts weght.
Place the machne n a cool, dry, clean, well ventlated place.
Make sure the area s free from dust.
Make sure the locaton s not exposed to hgh temperature or humdty.
Keep the machne away from drect sunlght as ths can damage t. If you have to place 
the machne near a wndow, nstall heavy curtans or blnds.
Do not use the machne near water. Make sure that no wet or humd objects come nto 
contact wth the machne.
Do not use or store the machne outdoors.
Do not place the machne near devces that contan magnets or generate magnetc 
felds, such as speakers.
