If you added your system to ReadyCLOUD, you and your ReadyCLOUD users can use the ReadyCLOUD portal to
access your ReadyNAS from anywhere with an Internet connection.

Open a web browser and visit

From the top menu bar, click the Sign In label near the top right corner of the page.
A sign in window opens.

Enter your ReadyCLOUD account credentials and click the Sign In button.

You are signed in to ReadyCLOUD. You can now use the ReadyCLOUD web interface to access your data and
manage any systems that you added to your ReadyCLOUD account.

ReadyNAS Remote is a web-based service that allows you to drag and drop files between your ReadyNAS system
and your Windows or Mac computer using the SMB file-sharing protocol. All file permissions and shared folder
security settings are retained as if you were on your LAN. All data is encrypted so that it is transmitted securely.

All of the functionality of ReadyNAS Remote is available from the ReadyCLOUD desktop
app. ReadyCLOUD provides a more complete backup and management experience and we
recommend it. You can enable ReadyCLOUD or ReadyNAS Remote, but they cannot be
both enabled at the same time.

ReadyNAS Remote uses preinstalled software on your ReadyNAS system and a small software program for your
Windows or Mac computer.

Using ReadyNAS Remote involves these high-level steps:

Enable ReadyNAS Remote on your ReadyNAS storage system.

Grant access to ReadyNAS Remote users.

Install ReadyNAS Remote client software on your computer.

Access your shared folders.
