GETTING STARTEd
•  Remove all packing material and, if applicable, any stickers from the
product; remove and save literature.
•  For additional information go to www.georgeforemancooking.com.
•  Wash cupcake & muffin pan insert in hot soapy water, rinse and dry
thoroughly.
Note: Although the pan is dishwasher-safe, we recommend hand 
washing to preserve its appearance. In the dishwasher, the metal may 
get a cloudy film; this film will not affect the performance.
ATTACHING THE PLATES
Important: your grill should always be used with 2 plates securely 
attached. when using the cupcake & muffin pan insert, attach the 
cross-hatch grill or Panini top plate, plus the deep-dish bake pan.
1.  To attach the top grill plate, pull out on 
both release handles, set the plate flat
against the inside frame and release 
the handles (A).
2.  Repeat with the deep-dish bake pan
for the bottom plate (B). Once you 
have preheated the grill and filled the 
insert, you will set the insert into the 
deep-dish bake pan (see instructions
below).
3.  Move the adjustable slope switch on
the back right side of the grill back, so
the grill is in the flat position (C)
Important: when using the cupcake & 
muffin pan insert, always make sure grill 
is completely flat.
Note:
When cooking in the flat position,
it is not necessary to set the drip tray in 
front of the grill.
USING yOUR CUPCAKE & MUFFIN PAN INSERT
1.  Plug in the grill and press the power button to turn on.
2.  Set your desired cooking temperature according to the package 
directions for your cupcakes or muffins and allow grill to preheat for
at least 5 minutes.
3.  While the grill preheats, fill muffin cups about half-full with batter.
Note: Do not overload the cooking plate.
4.  Using a pot holder, carefully open the 
preheated grill.
5.  Using the insert handles, place the 
cupcake & muffin pan insert into the
deep-dish bake pan (d).
6.  Close the grill cover.
Important: do not leave the appliance 
unattended during use.
7.  Set the countdown timer to cook for your desired time according 
to the package instructions. A signal will sound once cooking is 
complete.
Tip: Your cupcake & muffin pan insert may cook your favorite cupcakes
and muffins faster than conventional methods. Always set for the
minimum suggested time and check a few minutes prior to avoid 
overcooking.
8.  Using a pot holder, carefully open the grill cover.
9.  When finished baking, use pot holders to remove cupcake & muffin
pan insert to a wire rack to cool about 20 minutes.
10.  Turn pan insert upside down once cooled to remove cupcakes or 
muffins.
11.  Press the power button and unplug to turn the grill off.
Care and Cleaning
CLEANING THE CUPCAKE & MUFFIN PAN INSERT
1.  Before cleaning, unplug grill from wall outlet and allow to cool.
Caution: do not remove the plates while the appliance is hot.  Always 
allow them to cool to room temperature before removing or cleaning.
2.  To remove the deep-dish bake pan and the top plate, pull out on the
release handles on both sides and remove from the grill.
3.  The cupcake & muffin pan insert, deep-dish bake pan and top plate
can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand with hot, soapy water.
Note: Dishwasher detergent may cause oxidation on uncoated side of 
cooking plates. This is not harmful but may change the appearance of
your plates.
4.  Always dry thoroughly before reattaching.
5.  To remove stubborn buildup, use a nylon or nonmetallic scrubbing
pad to clean.
Important: do not use metallic scrubbing pads, steel wool or any 
abrasive cleaners to clean any part of your grill; use only nylon or 
nonmetallic scrubbing pads.
