Implementation Plans
The final stage of deployment planning is developing implementation plans and schedules. The basis of the
implementation plan is a step−by−step installation procedure that facilitates a smooth transition and
minimizes user impact. Implementation plans may include installation scripts, a method for handling
corrections or deviations, quality controls, security controls, identification and scheduling of required
resources, defined tasks, hardware and miscellaneous equipment procurement, task dependencies, and time
sequencing. Implementation should follow and be approved through established change−management
procedures prior to installation.
