Cisco UCS M1414 Compute Cartridge
Cisco UCS M-Series Compute Cartridges
are designed to meet the high-density demands of massively parallelized
and cloud-scale applications. The unique design of the Cisco
 uses System Link
Technology to provide infrastructure resources to the Cisco UCS M1414 Compute Cartridges, including power,
cooling, I/O, and local disk
—all managed in the stateless computing environment of Cisco UCS Manager.
The Cisco UCS M1414 Compute Cartridge (Figure 1) is a single-socket server using Intel

 processor
E3-1200 v3 or E3-1200 v4 CPUs, with up to 32 or 64 GB of DDR3 1600-MHz memory. The high-frequency v3
CPUs used in the M1414 cartridge are well suited for grid applications like electronic design automation (EDA),
seismic research, and DNA sequencing. The E3-1200 v4 CPUs are optimized for graphics-intensive workloads at a
low cost and low-power consumption. The E3-1200 v4 processors can help meet the growing demand for high-
quality video and complex 3D applications faster and at a lower total cost.
