This document describes a problem that is encountered with the Cisco Web Security Appliance (WSA) when
the Adobe Updater is unable to function properly.

The information in this document was created from the devices in a specific lab environment. All of the
devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure
that you understand the potential impact of any command.
Problem
The Adobe Updater is unable to download updates through the WSA. A packet capture that is taken on the
WSA reveals this:
The Adobe Updater is used in order to attempt a range request download from an Akamai-hosted
URL. The range request is an HTTP request that includes headers such as Accept-Ranges: xxx and
Range: xxx, which indicates that the request is for specific bytes of data only.
