Sometimes it is sufficient to concentrate on basic requirements.
The prolite basic 2 is a light box for those who need only brilliant,
homogenous and professional illumination.

The all-metal housing is rigid and durable and is also wall
mountable. The surface is totally flat which is advantageous with
over-sized originals. There are no limitations to light quality: The
prolite basic light boxes use the same high quality daylight
fluorescents with 5400 Kelvin color temperature and group 1A*
color rendition.

There are also high frequency versions available and more models
with additional dimmers.

The prolite basic line offers a wide selection of different sizes
ranging from 12 x 8” to 20 x 24”.

Only slightly more than 2” in
height the prolite basic 2 is a flat
classic light box.

Plain, simple shape: the metal
housing of the prolite basic 2.

Units with 12 x 8” and with 20
x 12” illuminated areas are
supplied with a sorting cover for
mounted 35 mm slides as a
standard accessory. It takes 30
or 70 slides respectively.

Very thin cold cathode fluorescent tubes and a special method of
light guide and reflection techniques have made it possible: Light
boxes with a “thickness” of between half an inch and an inch.
That is why the three smaller slimlite light boxes are very convenient
for carrying in your briefcase or hand bag and to use them for
showing shots to customers or at meetings. But a flat light box will
also be a looker on your desk or in the studio.

The three larger slimlite models of approximately three and a
quarter inches height are equipped with regular thin fluorescent
tubes.

From the smallest version, suitable to view a 4 x 5” slide up to the
largest taking more than 80 mounted 35 mm slides, there is
something for everybody. Both the small ones can be battery or
AC operated (AC adapter is an accessory), the four large slimlites
operate on AC. The color temperature is approximately 5000
Kelvin.

Basic in regard to features, but not in respect to quality – the Kaiser
hobbylite is designed for the user with simpler needs. Nevertheless
it features 5400 Kelvin daylight, angle arm, film clamping strip
and even wall mount fittings. Kaiser hobbylite also works on
batteries.
