announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco
®
uBR-MC14C, uBR-MC14C system bundle, uBR-MC16E, and
uBR-MC16S Universal Broadband Router (uBR) line cards for the Cisco uBR7246VXR Universal Broadband Router. The last day to order the
Cisco uBR-MC14C, uBR-MC14C system bundle, uBR-MC16E, and uBR-MC16S line cards is July 5, 2005. Customers with active service
contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until July 5, 2010. Table 1 describes the end-of-
life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco uBR-MC14C, uBR-MC14C system bundle, uBR-MC16E, and uBR-MC16S line cards.
Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
The original end-of-life notice also included the Cisco uBR-MC16C and uBR-MC28C uBR line cards. Due to popular demand, these line cards
will continue to be sold and are excluded from this end-of-life announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco uBR7200 Series MC16U and MC16X broadband processing engines (BPEs), which
introduce new choices and capabilities to the Cisco uBR7246VXR Universal Broadband Router. Information about the replacement products
can be found at

. Table 3 provides relevant
information for migrating from the Cisco uBR-MC14C, uBR-MC14C system bundle, uBR-MC16E, and uBR-MC16S line cards to the Cisco
uBR7200 Series MC16U and MC16X BPEs.
