This section describes possibly unexpected behavior by software Release 12.2(2)XH.

Normally, the no ip route-cache command is applied to the dialer interface for the Ethernet interface to
rate-limit incoming traffic. However, in this case, the dialer interface does not rate-limit incoming or
outgoing traffic when ATM encapsulation AAL5 Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) is used.
