Verifying IP Device Tracking

Procedure

Purpose

Command or Action

Enables privileged EXEC mode.

enable

Step 1

Example:

Device> enable

Enter your password if prompted.

Displays the interface where IP Device Tracking is enabled, and
the MAC, IP, or the interface associations that are tracked.

show ip device tracking

Example:

Device# show ip device tracking

Step 2

Starting from release Cisco IOS XE Denali 16.1.1, this
output displays information associated with both IPv4
and IPv6 addresses.

Note

Displays the features that depend on IP Device Tracking.

show ip device tracking interface interface

Example:

Device# show ip device tracking interface
Gigabit Ethernet1/0/2

Collects debug information to display IP Device Tracking activity
in real time.
