General Hardware Questions
Q. Where can I download the latest versions of firmware and drivers for
the Cisco Wireless devices?
A. Cisco Aironet equipment operates best when you load all components with the most
current software version. You can download the latest software and drivers from Downloads
− Wireless (
 registered customers only
) . Because this software is capable of strong encryption,
Cisco must collect user information from you before you download the software.
Due to United States export compliance regulations, you must be registered on Cisco.com in
order to download wireless software. Registration is free. Refer to Cisco.com Registration to
register for a CCO account and download wireless software.
Q. What are the components with which the Cisco Aironet components
can associate?
A. Not all Aironet devices can associate with all other types of Aironet devices. For instance,
the Client Adapter card cannot form a wireless association with a Workgroup Bridge (WGB).
Refer to Cisco Aironet Hardware Association Matrix for a complete description of association
capabilities.
