Release Notes for Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Lightweight Access Points for Release 4.2.112.0
OL-31336-01
  Caveats
CSCsl28216—Poor client throughput sometimes occurs on 2006 controllers even when the data rate
is excellent. This problem appears to be related to the constant ACL messages filling the log when
no ACLs are configured.
CSCsl32263—The controller might reboot when you enable a WLAN with an AP group VLAN
configured, if a dynamic interface is not tied to the AP group VLAN.
CSCsl32786—Active guest user accounts are sometimes lost when a controller reboots.
CSCsl41757—If any WLAN profile names contain an ampersand (&) when you upgrade a
controller to software release 4.2, the controller erases the current configuration and reboots into the
setup wizard.
CSCsl48726—The show run-config CLI command does not show the TACACS+ configuration on
the controller.
CSCsl50993—Guest tunneling does not operate properly when two controllers are running different
versions of controller software (for example, software releases 4.1 and 4.2).
CSCsl56900—Controllers sometimes fail to display the entire output of the show run-config CLI
command.
CSCsl61596—Controllers sometimes reboot due to a failure with the iappSocketTask.
CSCsl67263—You cannot enable the IPv6 setting and the DHCP address assignment required
setting at the same time on a WLAN. When you enable both settings, the controller disables the
WLAN.
CSCsl79069—When AAA override is enabled for a WLAN, the AAA server is providing the session
timeout value, a client that is associated to that WLAN roams to another access point joined to the
same controller, and the session timeout has not expired, the session timeout for that client is reset
to the initial value received from the AAA server.
CSCsl80208—When you run a mobility test with a large number of roaming clients, the Cisco
WiSM crashes due to a software failure of the mmMobility task.
CSCsl80225—The controller deletes the access point radio-core-dump file when a TFTP transfer is
unsuccessful.
CSCsl82329—A 4400 controller running software release 4.2.67.0 might reboot after a CCXv5
client in 802.11g mode with CCKM + TKIP associates and authenticates, if the RADIUS accounting
server is enabled.
CSCsl85298—The Redirect URL after Login option for customized web authentication is not
available on the controller GUI in software release 4.2.61.0.
CSCsl85407—RADIUS accounting messages on the controller sometimes display a client device’s
username instead of the MAC address.
CSCsl86368—You cannot use the controller GUI to configure an external web authentication URL.
CSCsl90841—After you upgrade a controller to software release 4.2.61.0, access points sometimes
lose the region code and fail to join the controller. When you enter debug lwapp events enable on
the controller CLI, the output indicates invalid country codes of 0xFFFF.
CSCsm08062—The controller might reboot due to a software failure in the dtlDataLowTask on the
instruction located at 0x1042908c (hapiMmcReceiveDataLow+788).
CSCsm15583—The output of the show database summary controller CLI command exceeds the
number of eligible entry types displayed by individual show commands.
CSCsm23421—When you try to install the web authentication certificate from WCS, WCS fails
with the error message “transfer_failed.”
