Release Notes for Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Lightweight Access Points for Release 4.2.207.0
OL-31336-01
  Caveats
CSCsx82639—An 1142 or 1252 access point might stop serving clients. When this behavior occurs,
the following message is logged on the access point:
Jan 29 12:28:20.496: %DOT11-2-RADIO_FAILED: Interface Dot11Radio0, failed - command 16
timeout -Traceback= 0x5F82C 0x480D00 0x4BBB70 0x4BF2D8 0x47FDC8 0x480190 0x480514
0x1A3DD0
*Jan 29 12:28:20.505: Writing radio coredump to 'flash:/r0.rcore'
CSCsy05707—An 1131 access point joined to a controller running software release 4.2.173.0 might
enter a state in which clients are not able to associate.
CSCsy15893—Some clients have connectivity issues with lightweight access points when world
mode is enabled.
CSCsy68874—The RetryCount field always shows 0 in the output of the show ap stats CLI
command.
CSCsy71960—A 1240 series access point receives discovery replies from its primary or secondary
controller but joins another controller instead.
CSCsy73154—The access point does not forward the DHCP offer to the client.
CSCsy76154—When link aggregation (LAG) is disabled and DHCP proxy is enabled, DHCP
packets relayed from the controller to the DHCP server might be intermittently lost.
CSCsy79782—Controllers sometimes reset the uptime counter to zero when the uptime count
reaches 497 days. When the counter resets to zero, client devices are disconnected.
CSCsy96551—When a PC tries to renew an IP address it had before (for example from home
network), the controller’s internal DHCP server does not send an NAK frame. Instead the controller
sends a DHCP ignore message and does not assign an IP address to the machine.
CSCsy97077—The show run-config controller CLI command is truncated or incomplete.
CSCsz17157—When voice traffic runs continuously on 1130 or 1240 series access points for a
prolonged period of time, the access points reboot on the CPU voice metrics task.
CSCsz19203—A controller running software release 4.2.176.0 might reboot because of a software
failure of the sshpmMainTask.
CSCsz19675—Controllers reboot unexpectedly when LDAP authentication is enabled.
CSCsz40659—During a software upgrade, the file transfer of the new image sometimes fails.
CSCsz51403—When multiple clients connect to the controller with the same username or the AAA
server returns a username different from that registered by the client, the following message floods
the Cisco WiSM controller’s message log: “%APF-1-USER_DEL_FAILED: apf_ms.c:5055.”
CSCsz57828—The counters for 1140 series access points do not increment in the output of the show
ap stats
 CLI command.
CSCsz68239—On 2006 controllers, the output for the show acl detail command is not properly
formatted.
CSCsz76796—The PMK cache is not updated after a new authentication. The previous cache
remains even if the PMK ID is incremented by roaming.
CSCsz80099—Controllers in the same mobility group cannot ping each other but can ping other
devices on the network.
CSCta34714—Web authentication redirects might fail for controllers running software release 4.2.
