To configure the country of operation for a Cisco lightweight access point, use the ap name country
command.

ap name ap-name country country-code

Name of the Cisco lightweight access point.

Two-letter or three-letter country code.

None

Cisco controllers must be installed by a network administrator or qualified IT professional and the installer
must select the proper country code. Following installation, access to the unit should be password protected
by the installer to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and to ensure proper unit functionality.

regulatory domains are defined during the access point manufacturing process. You can change the access
point country code if the new country code matches a country that is valid within the access point regulatory
domain. If you try to enter a country that is not valid to the access point regulatory domain, the command
fails.
