The following example shows diagnostics used to check connectivity to another 
mail server. You can test the mail server by sending a message or pinging the 
server.

mail3.example.com> diagnostic

Choose the operation you want to perform:

- RAID - Disk Verify Utility.

- NETWORK - Network Utilities.

[]> network

Choose the operation you want to perform:

- FLUSH - Flush all network related caches.

- ARPSHOW - Show system ARP cache.

- SMTPPING - Test a remote SMTP server.

[]> smtpping

Enter the hostname or IP address of the SMTP server:

[mail3.example.com]> mail.com

The domain you entered has MX records.
