Chapter 3      Setup and Installation

email on your network. 
Immediate Alerts
The Cisco IronPort appliance uses feature keys to enable features. The first time you create a listener in 
the 
systemsetup
 command, enable Cisco IronPort Anti-Spam, enable Sophos or McAfee Anti-Virus, or 
enable Outbreak Filters, an alert is generated and sent to the addresses you specified in 
.
The alert notifies you periodically of the time remaining on the key. For example:

Now that systemsetup is complete, your Cisco IronPort appliance should be sending and receiving email. 
If you have enabled the anti-virus, anti-spam, and virus-outbreak filters security features, the system will 
also be scanning incoming and outgoing mail for spam and viruses.
