The Cisco IronPort AsyncOS 7.0 for Email Advanced Configuration Guide 
provides instructions for setting up, administering, and monitoring the IronPort 
Messaging Gateway™ appliance. These instructions are designed for an 
experienced system administrator with knowledge of networking and email 
administration. 

Read the Quickstart Guide and any product notes that were shipped with your 
appliance. This guide assumes that you have unpacked, physically installed into a 
rack cabinet, and powered-up the appliance. 

If you have already cabled your appliance to your network, ensure that the default 
IP address for the IronPort appliance does not conflict with other IP addresses on 
your network. The IP address assigned to the Management port by the factory is 

192.168.42.42
