Syntax Description
[ no ] transport-layer-checksum verify-during-packet-inspection [ tcp | udp ]
default transport-layer-checksum
no
Disables the checksum calculation for the specified packet type.
default
Configures this command with its default setting.
Default: Same as transport-layer-checksum verify-during-packet-inspection—to perform the checksum
verification calculation on all TCP and UDP packets.
[ tcp | udp ]
Specifies that either TCP or UDP packets should be verified/not verified.
If neither of these keywords is specified the command applies to both TCP and UDP packets.
Usage Guidelines
Use this command to disable or enable performing checksum verification calculations on TCP or UDP packets.
If the checksum is not verified, the packets will go through the TCP/UDP analyzers (and deeper analyzers, if
so configured via the route command) regardless of the value of the TCP/UDP checksum.
If the checksum is verified, only packets with good checksums will go through the TCP/UDP analyzers (and
deeper analyzers, if so configured).
