Configures the number of authorization vectors to be requested from the home location register (HLR) during call setup 
to provide subscriber authentication.

Exec > Global Configuration > Context Configuration > MAP Service Configuration 

configure > context context_name > map-service service_name

 

Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt: 

[context_name]host_name(config-map-service-service_name)# 

 

auth-vectors number-to-request number 

default auth-vectors number-to-request 

 

Resets the number of vectors requested from the HLR to the system default. 

 

: Must be an integer from 1 to 5 to define the number of authorization vectors be requested from the 

HLR. 
Default is 5. 

Set the number of requests to be received from the HLR.
