Adjusts a target address to route sessions to appropriate locations.

Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt:

action { add string | delete num_chars | modify string } position num length length 
target { destination | source } { aor | domain | user } 

no action 

 

 

: Adds a specified string to a location indicated by the 

 keyword for the targeted 

source or destination address component (aor, domain, or user). 

 must be from 1 to 79 alpha and/or 

numeric characters. 

 

: Deletes a number of characters starting from a location specified by the 

 

keyword for the targeted source or destination address component (aor, domain, or user). 

 must 

be an integer from 1 to 79. 

 

: Modifies a specified string in a location starting with the 

 keyword for the 

targeted source or destination address component (aor, domain, or user). The number of characters in the 

 variable will replace the same number in the address. 

 must be from 1 to 79 alpha and/or 

numeric characters. 

 

Specifies the position in the target string where the action is to occur. 

 must be an integer from 1 to 79. 

 

Specifies the length of the target string where the action is to occur. 

 must be an integer from 1 to 79. 

  The 

 keyword is only supported in 

 actions. 

 

Species that the action is to occur within the source or destination address.
