Cisco’s solution for the OCAP Object Carousel incorporates the TSBroadcaster 

product from Strategy & Technology Limited (S&T). The TSBrodcaster allows you to 

manage, schedule, and broadcast interactive TV applications for OCAP standards. 

The TSBroadcaster can feed into a multiplexer to add interactive TV capability to 

broadcast content. The TSBroadcaster can also add interactive TV not associated 

with broadcast content.  Or, the TSBroadcaster can provide a self-contained feed 

(with its own audio and video [A/V] content) for local modulation to support 

development and testing. Multiple users can enter information into the 

TSBroadcaster through a Web-enabled interface and a variety of application 

program interfaces (APIs).  
The main body of this manual is written to cover the operation of a single OCAP 

Object Carousel deployed with integrated stream playout on a single SunFire V240 

server. This guide provides the information needed to install, configure, and operate 

the TSBroadcaster.  

Use this guide as a reference for configuring and using the TSBroadcaster.  

The procedures in this guide are for systems operating System Release (SR) 4.0 or 

later and TSBroadcaster version 1.0.0.6. 

This guide is written for DNCS operators, system engineers, and Cisco Service 

engineers.
