Connect the UniPack to the Application Server
Connecting the UniPack to the Application Server
Follow this procedure to connect the UniPack to the Application Server.

1.

Follow these instructions to connect the UniPack to the Application Server.
Note:  Refer to the illustration that accompanies these instructions as you
connect the UniPack.
a)  Be sure the power switch of the UniPack is in the off position.
b)  Verify that the SCSI switch, labeled SCSI Switch in the illustration, is set
to 3
Note:  The UniPack ships with this switch set to 3, but it may become
dislodged during transit or set up.
c)  Connect one end of an FW SCSI cable to the SCSI port labeled IN, and the
other end to the Application Server.
Important:  The Sun Blade 150 Application Server has two ports that can
accept the SCSI cable. Be sure that you use the upper port when
connecting the UniPack to the Sun Blade 150 Application Server. If the
Sun Blade 150 Application Server has only one port, this configuration is
not supported. Contact Cisco Services.
d)  Plug one end of the power cable into the back of the UniPack, and the
other end into an AC power outlet.

2.

Turn on the power to the UniPack.
Result:  A green light on the front of the UniPack appears.
