Introduction
Cisco engineers developed the dbOptimizer program to delete EMMs
that are no longer needed by DHCTs. Most EMMs are assigned to
DHCTs during the staging process when DHCTs are prepared for
deployment in the homes of subscribers. These EMMs are also stored
in the database of the DNCS. When a DHCT has been successfully
staged, those EMMs associated with the staging process are no longer
needed and should be removed from the DNCS database.

The dbOptimizer program is configured to run by default each
Saturday at 4 AM. The procedures in this chapter describe how to run
