RS-232 responses are used to retrieve the current status of a TV. Currently Cisco
StadiumVision Director uses responses only when querying a TV for its current
power on/off status. RS-232 responses in Cisco StadiumVision Director are always
configured without a prefix.

For situations where a TV cannot be controlled via RS-232 or otherwise, volume
and mute can be controlled by the DMP instead. This is behavior is indicated by

To configure RS-232 serial commands:
1. Open the Serial Commands tab:

2. From the Available Serial Commands list, select the command or commands
that you wish to add and click <<. This adds the command name to the list of
Configured Serial Commands.

Commands, click the + at the upper right of the list box and enter the label you
wish to use for the new command. Then click << to add the command to the list
of Configured Serial Commands.

4. Highlight the serial command in the Configured Serial Commands list.
5. Click the + above the Serial Strings of Selected Commands list.
6. Enter the appropriate serial string. This string will now be associated with the
highlighted serial command for this device.
