Sub-Menu 2 -- Optical Output Information
The illustration below shows sub-menu 2 of the OptoStar II 1550 nm optical
amplifier module - Optical Output Information.
amplifier module - Optical Output Information.
The optical output information sub-menu includes options to set the optical
output power alarm threshold and a reading of the optical output parameters.
Optical output parameters include: optical output power and optical amplifier
type. Optical output power displays the optical output power of one port when
there are multiple optical output ports.
Optical amplifier modules with different models have different optical power
alarm thresholds. The default lower limit of the alarm threshold is (standard
value - 4.0) dBm; and upper limit is (standard value + 1.0) dBm; taking 8x17
optical amplifier as example, the range of optical power alarm threshold is + 13
dBm ~ + 18 dBm; the cursor stays in the “Low” field.
