CUCM support for endpoints outside of the enterprise network via Expressway
Note that endpoints can register to CUCM also when the 
endpoint is not within the enterprise network. In such cases 
you will need a VCS Expressway for secure firewall traversal 
and line-side support for CUCM registrations. See illustration 
below.
This feature is also referred to as Cisco Unified 
Communications Mobile and Remote Access, and is a core 
part of the Cisco Collaboration Edge Architecture.
