5.  Tap Attachment 

 and select from the following file attachments: 

  Camera: Take a new picture. 

  Gallery: Attach a picture from the Gallery app. 

  Other: select from the following sources: 

• 

Image: Attach a stored picture. See 

. 

• 

Video: Attach a stored video. See 

. 

• 

Audio: Attach a stored music file or voice recording.  

• 

Record audio: Make a voice recording and attach it. 

• 

Memo: Attach a Memo. See 

. 

• 

Calendar: Select the calendar event you want to attach. See 

. 

• 

Location: Add your current location (requires GPS to be turned on) or a location you pick 
on a map to your message. See 

. 

• 

Contacts: Select a contact from your phone, and then select which contact information 
you want to attach. See 

. 

6.  When done, tap Send 

 to send the enhanced message. 

While composing a text or multimedia message, tap Back 

 to automatically save your message as a 

draft. 

To resume composing the message: 

1.  From home, tap Apps 

 > Messages

. 

 

2.  Tap the message to resume editing it. 

3.  When you finish editing the message, tap Send

. 

 

Depending on your notification settings, the phone will play a ringtone, vibrate, or display the message 
briefly in the status bar when you receive a new text or multimedia message. To change the notification 
for new text and multimedia messages, see 

 for details. 

New message 

 also appears in the notifications area of the status bar to notify you of a new text or 

multimedia message. The Messages 

app shortcut (if shown on the home screen) also displays the 

number of new messages.
