Changing or Replacing a Stored Number
You can change or replace a stored number just by storing a new number in its place.
Answering System Operation:  At the Base
Setting the Time
1.  Press and hold the TIME/SET button for one second.  When the system announces the current day (for
example, “Tuesday”), release the button.
2.  Change the day by pressing FF to move forward, or REW to move back.
3.  Press TIME/SET to hear the current hour setting, then release.  Use FF to move forward, or REW to
move back to change the hour setting.
4.  Press TIME/SET to hear the current minute setting, then release.  Change the minute setting by using
FF to move forward, or REW to move back.
5.  Press TIME/SET to hear if setting is AM or PM, then release.  Press FF or REW to change.
6.  Press TIME/SET again to complete setting the time.
7.  When changes are complete, the system announces the current day and time setting.
Time Announcement
Press and release TIME/SET to hear the current day and time.
Recording Your Outgoing Announcement
Before You Record
1.  Prepare your announcement. Example:  “Hello.  I can’t come to the phone right now.  Please leave
your name, telephone number, and a message up to three minutes long after the tone.  I will return your
call as soon as I can.  Thank you.”
If you do not record an announcement the system will not answer calls.
Recording Your Announcement
1.  Press and hold the OGM/REC button for one second.
Release the button when you hear a beep.
The MESSAGES display begins timing your outgoing announcement.  You have 15 seconds in which
to record your announcement.
2.  Speak toward the base in a normal tone of voice.
3.  When you have finished your announcement, press the OGM/REC button again.
4.  Your announcement will be played back automatically.
NOTE: If you pause two or three seconds while recording, the system will stop recording.  You must
record your announcement again.
