To configure your DeviceNet network, you have the following 
options:

Offline configuration lets you do most of the DeviceNet configuration 
tasks before you connect to the network.

Any of the following conditions apply:

• The network and devices are not yet installed.
• You do not have access to the network. (I.e., You are 

off-site.)

• You prefer to do most of the configuration before you get 

on-site with the network.
