Sync Mode is shaded and cannot select it.

Confi rm the following:
(1) PC is connected to the TV using a USB cable.
(2) The PC is turned on.
(3) iPod is installed on the Dock.

The PC does not recognize the iPod.

The USB cable may not match the PC. Try another USB 
terminal or USB cable.

Synchronization takes too much time or synchronization 
is failed.

The USB cable may not match the PC. Try another USB 
terminal or USB cable.

Cannot perform synchronization.

Synchronization may not proceed when the iPod battery is 
exhausted. Charge the iPod before operation.

Is it possible to update iPod fi rmware through the TV?

No, it is not. Connect iPod to the PC directly to update it.

Is it possible to check synchronization progress?

Yes. Check it on iTunes or iPod screen.

Is it possible to stop synchronization?

Basically, it is not. If you want to stop, operate iTunes on 
the PC.

iPod is detached by mistake during synchronization.

Perform synchronization again.

USB cable is disconnected by mistake during 
synchronization.

Connect the USB cable again, then perform 
synchronization again.

What type of iPod is compatible?

See the table of the compatible iPod types.  See page 13.

What function is compatible when using the iPod touch?

• Some functions must be performed on the iPod touch.
• JVC logo is not displayed on the iPod screen.
•  The fi rmware version 1.xx of iPod touch is not compatible 

for video playback in TCON Mode.

Is the iPhone compatible with the TV?

No, it is not.

Some tracks are skipped during Shuffl e play.

The tracks set to skip on iTunes setting are not played.

Is it possible to charge iPod while the TV is on standby?

Yes, it is.

Is it possible to play music while the TV is on standby?

No, it is not.

Is it possible to change “Picture” and “Sound” setting?

Yes. Use the TV menu.

Video contents cannot be played when using “On Timer”.

Only music playback is possible for “On Timer”.

Is it possible to turn off the illumination?

Yes. Select High/Low/Off on the TV menu.

Is it possible to enjoy USB Photo Viewer while playing 
music?

Yes, it is. Operate iPod while using Photo Viewer. Make 
sure to operate iPod itself for playing music.

Is it possible to turn off the backlight of the iPod?

•   In TCON Mode, it turns off after a while. (It is necessary 

to change settings for some model of the iPod)

•  In PCON Mode, you can turn it off by changing settings 

on the iPod.

Is it possible to update the TV software?

No, it is not.

When enjoying iPod using “Sleep Timer”, an iPod track is 
not selectable for On Timer.

When enjoying iPod using “Sleep Timer”, you cannot set 
a track for “On Timer”. In such a case, selection of the 
starting track depends on the setting on iPod.

Is it possible to turn off the illumination of the Dock while 
using “On Timer”?

No, it is not.
