This section explains how to record on a Onkyo recorder that does not have a CD DUBBING but-
ton or another manufacturer’s recorder. Refer to your recorder's instruction manual for information
on recording.
The remote controller buttons used in the following steps are illustrated inside a gray rectangle

to select the recording source component.

Prepare the recording component.
• Place the recording component in record standby mode.
• Adjust the recording level on the recording component.
• Refer to your recorder’s instruction manual for information on signal-synchronized
recording (i.e., synchronized recording using input signal detection), or information on
recording via its analog inputs.
Start recording.
Start playing the source component selected in Step 1.
Notes
• For digital recording, you need to connect the digital output of the source component
to the digital input of the recording component.
• Do not change the input selection during recording. Otherwise, the recording cannot
be made correctly.
• To record analog signals, set surround mode to STEREO. Otherwise, you cannot
record.
