This chapter will show you how to use some of the advanced features of
EyeTV.
EyeTV has been integrated with Roxio’s Toast 6 Titanium CD recording software
to make it easy for you to archive your favorite shows onto Video CD (VCD),
Super Video CD (SVCD), or DVD.

Burning Video CDs
Perform the following steps to burn a recorded program to VCD:
• Open the EyeTV Programs window and select the video
recording you wish to archive by clicking on it once to
highlight it.

• Choose the Burn Video CD… option from the File menu.
If you highlight a High Quality program, the option in the File menu will change
to Burn High Quality Video CD. VCDs created using the High Quality setting
are limited to about 35 minutes (half the length of regular VCDs). They do not
conform to the VCD standard, although they play fine in most recent-model DVD
players.

Note that unless the recorded stream conformed to the VCD specifications
for MPEG-1, Toast will need to re-encode the recording, which takes time.
