[Time Lapse Shot]
 
Recording mode: 
You can preset the recording start time, the recording interval, and the number of 
pictures to take still pictures automatically. This setting is convenient for taking pictures of 
landscape scenes, observation of the gradual changes in animals/plants etc., and other 
applications from a fixed point. The pictures are recorded as a single group picture 
When [Time Lapse Video] in the [Playback] menu is used, you can create a motion 
picture. 
 •
We recommend using a fully charged battery.
 •
When the power is supplied from an electrical outlet using the supplied AC 
adaptor, [Time Lapse Shot] is disabled.
 •
Complete the date and time settings in advance. 
 •
Pictures taken using [Time Lapse Shot] cannot be recorded in the built-in 
memory. Use a card instead.
 •
You may not be able to record the number of pictures you set, depending on the 
operating conditions and remaining battery power. 
Press     to select the item and press [MENU/SET]
[Start 
Time]
[Now]
Starts the recording by fully-pressing the shutter button.
[Start Time 
Set]
Set the time to start recording. Any time up to 23 hours 59 minutes 
ahead can be set.

Press     to select the item (hour and/or minute), and     
to set the start time, and then press [MENU/SET]
[Shooting Interval] / 
[Image Count]
The recording interval and the number of pictures can be set.
 •
Press     to select the item (recording interval and/or the 
number of pictures), and     to set, and then press 
[MENU/SET]
[Shooting Interval]:  Set the recording interval from 10 seconds to 
1 minute in 10-second increments and from 1 
minute to 30 minutes in 1-minute increments. 
(For some shutter speeds, you can set the 
interval in 1-minute or 5-minute increments.)
[Image Count]:  Set the number of pictures from 10 pictures to 200 
pictures in units of 10 pictures each.
[Alert]
[ON]
The user is notified that recording is about to start by a warning 
sound and flashing of the AF assist lamp.
[OFF]
There is no warning sound. Also, the AF assist lamp does not 
flash.
