Installation:
The AAI-CHY plugs into the back of the factory
radio.
1. Remove factory radio. Remove factory female
10 pin Satellite cable, if available. Plug the
AAI-CHY’s 10 pin SAT plug into the radio.
Plug the factory Satellite cable that was
just removed into the AAI-CHY’s 10 pin
connector.
2. Insert the AAI-CHY’s 22 pin main power Plug
(T-Harness) in between the factory radio and
factory harness.
3. Connect external audio device(s) into Aux 1
and/or Aux 2 inputs using the RCA jacks on
the AAI-CHY.
4. If the vehicle has both factory Satellite and
VES, you must disconnect either one directly at the device. If the vehicle has factory single disc radio, the Satellite receiver
must be disconnected directly at the device . Refer to vehicle’s repair manual for location and removal of the Satellite receiver
or VES plug.
5.  By default the AAI-CHY output plug (3 pin connector) should be connected to the VES input harness of the 10 pin T-harness. If
the vehicle has factory VES or the factory radio is a single disc (REF), use the Satellite input of the 10 pin t-harness.
Note: The AAI-CHY will emulate the VES by default. If the vehicle has factory VES or the radio is a single disc, the AAI-
CHY will emulate the Satellite receiver automatically.
RED wire with fuse holder: Accessory Output. You can use this wire to turn on DVD/VCP players. This wire provides a +12 volt
output when key is in accessory or ignition position. The output is 1 amp max, use relay when necessary. Insulate end if not
used. Warning! Do Not connect this wire to the vehicle’s accessory/ ignition wiring.
Operation:
If simulating VES:
Turn the radio on and press the MODE button to select DVD or VES.
1. Press the SEEK up or down button to select CHP 1 for Aux 1 or CHP for Aux 2.
Note: When the key is removed and the doors remain closed, the Radio will display DVD Paused or Power Off. The Aux source
audio will be muted during this time. This is a normal function for the factory radio. When the key is turned to Accessory or Ignition,
the Aux source audio will un-mute.
If simulating Satellite receiver:
The radio will need to be updated with information prior to use. This is one time process and
will not need to be done again unless the radio is disconnected or vehicle battery is replaced/disconnected.
Turn the radio on and press the MODE button to select Satellite. On single disc radios (REF model), wait at least 1 minute before
using. Navigation (REC) or 6 Disc (RAQ or RAK) radios will display ‘UPDATING CHANNELS’, please wait until the information
disappears.
1. Press the SEEK up or down button to select Channel 1 for Aux 1 or Channel 2 for Aux 2.
Note: If you do not hear the audio source in aux mode, please check that the 3 pin connector is connected to the correct
connector on the 10 pin t-harness.
DISCLAIMER: Under no circumstances shall the manufacturer or the distributors of the AAI-CHY parts be held liable for consequential damages sustained in
connection with the AAI-CHY. The manufacture and it’s distributors will not, nor will they authorize any representative or any other individual to assume obligation
or liability in relation to the AAI-CHY other than its replacement.
