Recording Audio
Low-Cut Filter (Built-in Microphone)
Perform the procedure below to activate the low-cut filter for the built-in 
microphone.
1 Press the MENU button.
2 Open the [Built-in Mic Low Cut] submenu.
[¡ Audio Setup] > [2] > [Built-in Mic Low Cut]
3 Select the desired option and then touch [X].

2 Open the [Built-in Mic Sensitivity] submenu.

3 Select the desired option and then touch [X].

Monitoring the Audio with Headphones
You can connect to the × (headphone) terminal any pair of 
headphones with a 
∅ 3.5 mm stereo mini plug to monitor 
the recorded audio.

Low Cut 2]: For reducing the background sound of wind when recording outdoors in windy surroundings (for 
example, on a beach or close to buildings). Note that when you use this setting some low-frequency 
sounds may be suppressed along with the sound of wind.
[
Low Cut 1]: For recording mainly people’s voices.
[j Off]:
For recording audio under usual conditions.
[h Normal]:
For recording audio under usual conditions.
[
 High]:
For recording audio at a higher volume.
