PREPARING YOUR VIVICAM 4100
Installing the Batteries (Optional Accessory)
You can use 2 AA size batteries (either Alkaline or Ni-MH) to power the camera.
Battery power is convenient for capturing images or recording video clips.
1. Make sure your camera is off.
2. Slide the battery/SD card cover lock.
3. Insert the batteries according to the correct polarity marks (+ or -).
4. Close the battery/SD card cover.
Note:

Never use manganese batteries.

Never use different types of batteries (together) or mix old and new batteries.

Avoid using the batteries in extremely cold environments as low temperatures may shorten the battery life and
reduce the camera performance.
Low temperature will influence Alkaline battery performance, Ni-MH rechargeable battery is recommended.

If you won’t be using the batteries for an extended period of time, remove them from the camera to prevent the
leakage or corrosion.

New batteries or batteries that have not been used for an extended period of time (batteries that pass the
expiry date are exceptions) might affect the number of pictures that can be taken. Therefore, to maximize their
performance and lifetime, we recommend that you fully charge the batteries and discharge them for at least
one complete cycle before use.
