In most situations you would like to control
the projector lift system by an external
control option. This can be an AMX or
Crestron automation system, a simple wall
switch or a wireless remote control.
All PPL lift systems are standard equipped
with a control box offering 5 in and outputs
for remote control. This offers maximum
flexibility to control the lift system.
Remote 1 and 2 inputs for all functions
The two parallel inputs remote 1 and 2 can be
used for two separate remote controls. This
can be the standard service remote control, a
control system like AMX or Crestron or a wall
switch. These inputs operate with open
contacts that switch 5V to ground and can
operate all lift functions.
Two 12V outputs
Two 3,5mm jack outputs can give 12V at
various moments. These moments can be set
via a DIP switch block. These 12V outputs can
be used to control a projection screen and/or
the power supply of the projector. The 12V can
be given for example when the lift starts
descending and in show position and switch
back to 0V at ascending and in top position.
12V input
A 3,5mm jack input makes it possible to control
the lift system with an external 12V. 12V on this
input will make the lift go to Show position, 0V
will make the lift go to Top position.

Additional
“service” position
Most lift systems offer only two height positions,
Home and Show. Vogel’s PPL lift systems offer
a third position: Service. This position will bring
the projector all the way down to a comfortable
(programmable) height to do quick and easy
projector service.
Remote position setting
As the height positioning is electronic, it can be
set remotely. There is no need to climb up to
the lift system to set or adjust the height
positions. Just set it from ground level or even
in a control room if you are using a control
system.
Very accurate
The electronic height positioning is working
with an infra red optical sensor. This sensor is
counting steps when the lift is moving and is
reset every time the lift is in top position. This
guarantees a very accurate height positioning.
The infra red sensor is not sensitive for dust,
which is important for use above a false ceiling.
Home and Show. Vogel’s PPL lift systems offer
a third position: Service. This position will bring
the projector all the way down to a comfortable
