7.1 Connecting to the Internet
Ways of Connecting to the Internet
Your phone’s networking capabilities allow you to access the Internet or your corporate network at
work through wireline and wireless connections.
You can connect to the Internet by: GPRS or Dial-up.

Note: You can also add and set up the following connections:

VPN: A VPN connection is used to access your corporate network by using an existing Internet
connection.

Proxy: A Proxy connection is used to access the Internet by using an existing connection to your
corporate or WAP network.
GPRS
You can use GPRS to connect to the Internet or to send and receive MMS.
If GPRS settings are not preset on your phone, obtain the Access point name from Vodafone. Also,
check with Vodafone if a user name and password are required.

To set up a new GPRS connection
1. On the Home screen, select Start > Settings > Connections > GPRS > New.
