EWIG Model  217  Standard Instruction Manual
During the 3 minutes that the home receiver is seeking for sensor registration signal, remove the bracket
stand, release the screw at the rear of the sensor with a small screwdriver. Remove battery cover. Insert
2pcs  AAA  batteries  into  the  battery  compartment  per  direction  shown.  Channel  1  icon  and  the
temperature will be appear on the LCD of the receiving unit. If not hold the Tx button for 2 seconds on
the sensor to force out sensor registration signal. If registration is successful, close the battery cover and
tighten the screws.
-If registration is sucessful, a beep confirmation tone can be heard. If not, check the condition of the
AAA  batteries,  repeat  the  registration  procedure  again.  Close  the  battery  door  and  back  cover  and
tighten the screw on the sensor.
-To register sensor 2 and sensor 3:
Press and hold the “Channel” button for 2 seconds of the home
receiver to trigger sensor registration process. Insert battery for sensor 2, channel 2 icon and tempera-
ture will appear on the LCD of  the receiving unit. Follow the same procedure to register sensor 3.
Note:
The sensor will transmit the registration code automatically to complete the registration after the
batteries is just inserted. If the batteries have already inserted into the battery compartment , use a
pen to tap & hold the TX hold 2 seconds for Registration.
If “---” appear on the outdoor chanel, move the sensor closer to the base unit. Repeat the
registration procedure again.
The channel number have will be automatically assigned to the respective sensor in sequence of
registration. However, if all 3 RF sensors are already registered, you can perform the registration
again by selecting the desired channel and hold “Channel” 2 seconds to tell the base unit to accept
RF temperature signal, then hold “TX” 2 seconds on the remote sensor.
For wireless remote sensor with attachable probe only
If measurement of water, soil, or other liquid is desired, open the cover of the plug hole at the side of
the sensor and insert the probe plug. (optional)
