Troubleshooting
NOTE: Fusion Wideband has no user-serviceable parts. Faulty or failed
units are fully replaceable through TE.
Sources of potential problems include:
• Faulty cabling/connector
• Malfunction of one or more Fusion Wideband components
• Antenna, base station, or repeater problem
• External RF interface
• Tripped circuit breaker
• Equipment is not grounded
• Using an Ethernet crossover cable that does not support full hardware handshaking
when using AdminBrowser
NOTE: Faulty cabling is the cause of a vast majority of problems. All CATV 75
Ohm cable should be tested to TIA-570-B specifications. The RAU will be damaged
if the cable connector is not installed properly
.
You must use AdminBrowser for troubleshooting the system, use the LEDs only as
backup or for confirmation.
If you cannot determine the cause of a problem after following the recommended pro-
cedures, call TE customer help hot line:
1-800-530-9960 (U.S. only)
+1-408-952-2400 (International)
Or, email us at WirelessSupport@te.com.
Please provide the following information:
• Serial number of the unit
• Description of the problem
• Using AdminBrowser 1.00, access Special Features, then the Get Service
Information window. Save and email this file to TE.
• What is the length of the CATV cable? What type is it (for example RG-6)?
• Status of the LEDs on the unit
• Was the unit power cycled?
