Your phone can operate in residential, private, and public systems (such as your
home system). You can choose how your phone selects a network to use. Your phone
may not show the options described here. For information, contact your service
provider.

Search for a network
Press Menu 5 (Menu > System).
You have the following three options:

Automatic: Your phone automatically searches for available networks and

Select a public system
When you take your phone outside its home system, the phone is said to be
roaming. The phone can search for home-type systems (that is, systems of the same
type as your home system). Or, the phone can search for non-home-type systems.

Your service provider programs a list of preferred systems into your phone. These
are systems with which your service provider has roaming agreements. Your phone
