Description
1 Connector
Connects to electrode belt.
2 Battery
Powers the monitor. To recharge the battery, use the charger; see page 2-4.
3 Touchscreen
Displays messages about device operation, and allows patient to interact with device. In normal
operation, the display is upside-down for reading by the patient who is wearing the device. For
more on the monitor touchscreen, see page 2-5.
4 Response
buttons
Two buttons, located front and back, that light red when the device senses that your heart is in a
rapid life-threatening rhythm. You should, if conscious, press both response buttons to stop from
getting a defibrillating treatment. You can press and release the response buttons; you don’t have
to hold them continuously.
